<p><span class="gI">If you would like to be considered for a leadership position within the DFL Senate District 59 local party unit, please arrange an interview during one of the screenings with the Nominations Committee on March 24, from 10:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and March 25, from 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., at Folwell Park (located at 1615 Dowling Ave. N., Minneapolis, MN). A proposed agenda with the order of business will be posted once it is approved by the preconvention rules committee.&nbsp;At the senate district convention, delegates will choose candidates to endorse for public office and choose candidates to elect to party positions.&nbsp;<strong>Preconvention committees will be having their initial meeting on March 3, 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, at the Center for Families, 3333 4th St. N, Mpls</strong>. <p>New district boundaries and senate district identification numbers were released on Feb. 21, 2012. The state senate district covering North Minneapolis and parts of downtown will be now known as MN State Senate District 59. &nbsp;The new senate district 59 map can be viewed <a href="http://www.gis.leg.mn/redist2010/Legislative/L2012/maps/senate/59.pdf">here</a>. <p>The most noticeable change was with the state house districts. The A-side picked up the following precincts from the B-side (ward/precinct): 3-8, 3-9, parts of 5-1, 5-2, parts of 5-8, 5-10. The B-side picked up the following precints: parts of 7-9, 7-10, parts of 7-1.</p>
